Boot- bindingcompatibility

A system that should harmonizeboot-binding-ski

Whether it is a high Alpine experience, steep couloir, powder snow, sporty ascents or gentle nature experience… ski tours are as individual as ski tourers themselves. The evolution of ski touring has therefore led to a wide variety of equipment covering the most diverse needs.

When choosing a binding, it is important to remember that boot, binding and ski form a system which only functions optimally when its components are perfectly tuned to each other. As a basic rule, put together boots, bindings and skis designed for the same areas of use.

Which boot fits
which Fritschi binding?

The interaction between boot and binding is particularly relevant to safety. The evolution has led to a variety of products with technical differ-ences most particularly among the boots. The result of these developments is that not every boot will optimally function in all bindings or it may not even fit.

Check compatibility

Because of the absence of standards or the lack of compliance with standards in the manufacture of boots, Fritschi recommends in any event to have a trained professional check the compatibility with the 4-point-check.

Checking the DIN settings

The settings of all of Fritschi’s bindings can be checked with a adjustment and testing device. We recommend having the DIN settings adjusted by a trained professional.
